History

Early history

MyNews.is launched on the 12th September, 2012 at Techcrunch Disrupt as a web app.

Launch on the iPad

As signups on the web version didn't took of as expected, MyNews.is decided to change strategy and focus everything on the iPad. In September 2013, MyNews.is relaunched as a paid app on the iPad; while closing for new signups on the web version. The strategy paid off: MyNews.is quickly took of and reached the top of the app stores (top #1 news app in Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Austria).

Team

Christian Puricelli

Christian Puricelli is a serial entrepreneur and self-made software engineer. Christian was born on the Island Comacina on Lake Como, Italy in 1985. In 2005 during college (food science in Milan) he started his first company: a online marketing agency. Puricelli then obtained a MBA from the TU Munich, with a major in technology and innovation management, and is also founder of the Running and Triathlon Team Comacina. He is an active runner, duathlete, and former professional cyclist. He won the Duathlon European Championships U25 in 2009
